Raspberry and Oatmeal Smoothie
A little oatmeal gives the ingredients a tangy, invigorating delicious drink. Just like prepping your healthy for the week, prepare this ahead of time let raw oats soak and to breakdown the starch into natural sugar that are easy to digest. The smoothie will thicken up in the refrigerator so you might need to stir in a little extra ½ cup Raspberries or mineral water just before serving chilled.
Makes 1 large glass
1 ½ tbsp. medium oatmeal
1 cup raspberries
1-2 tsp clear natural honey
3 tbsp natural (plain) yogurt
1. Place oatmeal into a heatproof bowl. Pour in ½ boiling water and for 10 minutes.
2. Put the oats into a blender or food processor and add all ingredients but three raspberries, continue with the honey and 2 tbsp of yogurt. Process until smooth, scraping down the side of the bowl if necessary.
3. Pour the raspberry and oatmeal into a glass, stir the remaining yogurt and top with the remaining raspberries for decoration.
